The Scotland County Highland Games is proud to host the Black Swamp InterTribal Foundation’s Living History Working Camp, a part of the AMERICA 250 NC celebration of the upcoming 250 anniversary of the founding of the United States of America.

The Living History Working Camp is a “live” presenting of history that took place during the American Revolution. The working camp is of the time-period and has the goal to educate our Games attendees on the role of Native America during the American Revolution.

The host of the Living History Working Camp is Jamie K. Oxendine of the Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina, a native of Scotland County, and a Native American Living Historian. He is a member of the Black Swamp InterTribal Foundation and of the 78th Fraser Highlanders, Inverness Garrison.
